Troubleshooting

All <a href="/article/calculator-editor-overview#Preview">landing pages</a> in LeadDoubler have an associated spreadsheet. This spreadsheet is used to define:Input fields: These are cells where users can enter data.Output/result fields: These are cells where the calculated results are displayed.Calculations: These are the formulas or operations performed on the input to produce the output.If you have an existing spreadsheet, you can use our "Builder tool" (<a href="https://build.leaddoubler.com/">https://build.leaddoubler.com</a>) to quickly and easily convert it into the correct LeadDoubler format. This tool simplifies the process, allowing you to create your calculator more efficiently.&nbsp;For LeadDoubler to correctly interpret a spreadsheet, it must be formatted in a specific way. An example of this formatting is shown in the following image:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/d60b5cd8-6a3b-44b2-9b18-fb65b67ceb64"></figure><h2>Spreadsheet Structure</h2><hr>A spreadsheet in LeadDoubler is divided into two sections:Input section 🟦: Where users enter data.Output section 🟩: Where the results of the calculations are displayed.These sections are separated by the term 'Calculate 🟥'. For example, if you have a slider that ranges from 0-100 and there is 38 in this field, the slider will always start at 38. The same applies to input fields. For instance, if you have a field named "loan amount" that you want to start at 200,000, just enter 200,000 in column B next to that field:<figure class="table"><table><tbody><tr><td style="background-color:#e8e8e8;">A</td><td style="background-color:#e8e8e8;">B</td><td style="background-color:#e8e8e8;">C</td></tr><tr><td>Loan amount</td><td>200000</td><td>&nbsp;</td></tr><tr><td>My slider</td><td>38</td><td>slider(0,100)</td></tr></tbody></table></figure>&nbsp;<h2>Input Type (C)</h2><hr>Here, you define the type of input that you want the field to be.You can find a list of all input types and how to use them here: <a href="/article/input-types">Input Types</a>&nbsp;<h2>Validation (D)</h2><hr>Here you define if and how your input should be validated. This could be whether the field should be filled out, whether it can only contain numbers, a certain length, etc. Validations can be combined with each other, see the following example where we state that the field must be filled out and the number must be a number between 1-5:&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<pre><code class="language-plaintext">"required,minvalue=1,maxvalue=5"</code></pre>&nbsp;&nbsp;Check each individual input type to find out which validation options each field has.&nbsp;<h2>Logic ID (E)</h2><hr>Column E is used to enter what we call logic IDs. A logic ID is used when you need to insert a result on a page, or if you want a specific input to be placed in a specific location on your calculator.&nbsp;Logic IDs are also used elsewhere in the platform where, for example, you need to refer to a specific field.&nbsp;As a rule, we always recommend giving your input fields a logic ID, as well as all the output fields you will use.&nbsp;Logic ID should always be a single word, and we recommend keeping the ID in English to avoid challenges with special characters, as shown in these examples:<ul><li>loanAmount</li><li>duration</li><li>firstName</li><li>address</li><li>zip</li></ul>&nbsp;To place your input field at a specific location on your calculator, you need to enclose your logic ID with square brackets, as shown in this example:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/0d7feda1-b2be-48c5-99af-381f580efe5f"></figure>Which then turns into this:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/ef54ed35-6fc7-48e5-b0a1-aed20b5ad120"></figure><h2>Tooltip (F)</h2><hr>Tooltip is used when you need to provide additional information for an input field, after which an information icon with the text you have entered will be displayed with your input:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/e6254215-74e2-45a3-acdf-96657cf05aae"></figure><h2>Settings (G)</h2><hr>Settings are used, for example, if you want to have "m²" after your number on a slider, or place an icon that indicates what should be in your input field:&nbsp;Settings must be enclosed by curly brackets, and multiple settings can be chained by separating them with a comma, as shown in this example:&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<pre><code class="language-plaintext">{range:min,symbol:m²=after}</code></pre>&nbsp;&nbsp;The above example ensures that on a slider it both colors the first part of your slider (the blue part to the left of the handle in the image below) and puts "m²" after every number on the slider:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/a2084639-be93-4060-89b8-c1fdfffc72bb"></figure>Check each individual input type to find out which settings each field has.&nbsp;<h2>Placeholder (H)</h2><hr>Placeholder is used for types of input fields where the user needs to enter a text. The text you enter here will appear in the field when it's empty, serving as a guide to the user so they can see what needs to be entered:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/9913ed52-921b-499d-9a58-464a534d0213"></figure>As soon as the user has entered something in the field, the placeholder disappears:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/5f81eaef-e8df-4c40-ab31-e577a62742e7"></figure>

<h2>Without Calculators (First login)</h2><hr>Upon your first login, if there are no calculators available in the account, you will see the following three buttons:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/11b02996-c3eb-4316-a0a9-31d589d2ffaf"></figure>Create your own LeadDoubler This option leads you to the <a href="/article/creating-a-new-calculator">creation of calculators</a>.Setup your CRM ​This option leads you to <a href="/article/creating-a-new-pipeline">setting up your first pipeline in our CRM</a>.Invite your team This option allows you to <a href="/article/inviting-another-user-to-your-account">invite other users access to your user account</a>.&nbsp;<h2>With Calculators</h2><hr><figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/0d592a3e-bb36-4f93-b558-b3e5867c3534"></figure>Once calculators have been added to the account, the dashboard will have the following elements:Totals This box shows the total number of leads and unique contacts generated via the user's calculators.Showing the last 20 updated contacts Displays the most recent contacts obtained through the user's calculators.Landing pages Provides an overview of all the user's calculators.New calculator This option allows the creation of a new calculator.Getting started Shortcut to completing the setup of the user account (<a href="/article/dashboard-overview#without-calculators-(first-login)">same buttons as displayed when no calculators are present in the user account</a>).

The process of creating a calculator can vary depending on whether you already have a calculator or not.If you already have a calculator, a new one can be created by clicking the large "NEW CALCULATOR" button on the dashboard:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/9c223431-626a-46b2-9cda-24feafc6404b"></figure>Next, you'll be asked to choose whether you want to select a template from our <a href="/article/creating-a-new-calculator#creating-a-calculator-from-template-library">template library</a> or use our <a href="/article/creating-a-new-calculator#creating-a-calculator-using-the-builder-tool">builder tool</a>. The builder tool guides you through building a calculator based on an existing spreadsheet:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/51581e18-bf6b-48d2-af6a-c680c863a595"></figure>If you haven't created a calculator yet, then after logging in click on the "Create your own LeadDoubler" button:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/4ecffdc6-d11d-4dd7-9802-bff36368408f"></figure>After clicking on the button you will see the following page:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/326c13c4-75aa-447f-bba2-70d94e949908"></figure>This page is identical to the one you'd see when creating a calculator from a spreadsheet instead of a template. You can still access the <a href="/article/creating-a-new-calculator#creating-a-calculator-from-template-library">template library</a> from this page by clicking here:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/3a87ee86-5a40-49a8-ad80-100032e4d0ca"></figure><h2>Creating a Calculator from Template Library</h2><hr><figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/6bdd08d0-e324-4d1a-8d73-d7252b87ea80"></figure><h2>Step 1</h2>Search for the template or click on the template you wish to create:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/884402d4-8c0a-4c4c-a0b0-0b04b68fe1c3"></figure>You'll then be directed to a page that provides more information about the selected template. If there are different versions of the template, these will appear as "Variants":<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/fdae90b2-e7b6-45ad-a547-066f370bb435"></figure><h2>Step 2</h2>Once you've found the template you want to use, click "Choose" on the right side of the template page:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/83f71fa5-a4fb-4988-973e-a0d48b8c39a3"></figure>Afterward, you'll be taken to our editor where you can make <a href="/article/calculator-editor-overview">changes to the calculator</a>.&nbsp;<h2>Creating a Calculator using the Builder Tool</h2><hr><h2>Step 1</h2>Begin by selecting the desired calculator layout:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/38060535-8627-4d51-8dda-7d22e78ce054"></figure>Note: If you select "Show result next to input," skip to <a href="#step-3">Step 3</a>&nbsp;<h2>Step 2</h2>Select the information that the calculator should ask for, then click the "Next" button:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/c0be5577-1bcd-42cc-8a2e-8e6e9de21d3f"></figure><h2>Step 3</h2>Click the "I have a spreadsheet ready to be converted" button, which will guide you to our build flow:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/59db20b6-ec86-4b35-a6ac-c2741a9ec04d"></figure><h2>Step 4</h2>Drag and drop your spreadsheet into the box as shown below, or click the "browse your files" button to find your spreadsheet:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/06835958-6d86-4e82-b3c5-f3a1004a87c8"></figure><h2>Step 5</h2>Click the "Add user input" button to start selecting the fields to be used for the calculator, then click all the fields that you want to include:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/6b75d78b-f349-4421-9ce7-061ed44b0b78"></figure>Once you have selected the fields, the edge around the field will turn either green or blue:🟩 Input fields: The information we need to ask the user taking the calculator in order to calculate the price&nbsp; ​🟦 Output fields: The values of our calculations that we need to show the user (price, VAT, and etc.).&nbsp;The tool automatically determines the type of field based on whether there is a formula in the field or not. If you wish to change the name of a field, you can do so by expanding the menu to the right and editing the text for the field:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/e869ddae-4fe7-45a1-b9ae-f19d0a4af3ab"></figure><h2>Step 6</h2>After selecting all the fields you want to include in the calculator, click the "Build my calculator" button, which will then create the calculator:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/4029a387-af14-463d-b3c5-aee16a671f32"></figure><h2>Step 7</h2>Once the calculator is created, you'll see the following display with three buttons:<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/7e074fa4-5129-4a5d-b1bd-2cf5be3db244"></figure>Add to my website:Clicking here making it possible to add the calculator to your website, click the style you want, and follow the instructions on the page.&nbsp;Use as standalone with URL:This button opens your calculator in a new window, making it possible to copy the direct URL for the calculator.&nbsp;I need help:This button redirect you to our help booking system where you can book a short meeting with one of team members to help you with any questions you might have.
