# Testing the spreadsheet

By default, the calculators only do what you ask them to. So, if you see an incorrect result or something is not calculating at all, it's a good idea to download the spreadsheet on the problematic page and try to fill in the fields in column **B** under inputs to see if you get the expected values. If not, you can often work your way backward to see where the problem arises.
